RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading the team of engineers working on AI-driven music generation technology.
Researching and developing novel methods, algorithms, and architectures for AI-driven music composition in various genres and styles.
Delivering high-performing generative AI models for mobile application deployments.
Planning and conducting research projects, writing documentation, and research papers.
Working closely with the AI Video and Sound Design teams in the development of interactive mobile audio and video features.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years experience as a machine learning researcher and engineer.
Good knowledge of Python and relevant machine learning libraries/frameworks (incl. Pytorch, TensorFlow/Keras, NumPy).
Good understanding of research methodology and critical thinking.
Understanding the mathematics of classical/deep machine learning algorithms, applied statistics, and information theory.
Experience in generative modeling or time-series modeling.
Knowledge and understanding of music theory.
Experience in the deployment of machine learning models for production environments - mobile or embedded.
Experience in leading teams of engineers.
R&D project track record (at least 3 projects).
Proactivity and self-reliance.
Excellent written and verbal English. Strong ability to communicate with a globally distributed team.

GOOD TO HAVE

Experience building a video live streaming application
Familiarity with AVFoundation, and/or DSP more broadly
Direct experience with CoreML, or general familiarity with machine learning
Some knowledge of C++ or Rust
Experience leading a small team of iOS developers
A passion for music, and the interaction of technology and entertainment
Music composition experience.
Peer-reviewed research paper portfolio, ideally PhD degree.
